Kim Vos | residential and commercial designer
Meet Kim, a talented interior designer hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her journey into the world of design began at a young age, as she worked alongside her family in their flourishing home furnishing business. Kim’s passion for creating comfortable, functional, and sophisticated spaces led her to pursue a dual degree in Business and Communication from Calvin College.
Taking her skills to the next level, Kim ventured into entrepreneurship, opening her own home stores, Furniture Etcetera and Eight Hands Gallery, in Grand Rapids. As her business flourished, she expanded her horizons to Northern Michigan, engaging in various residential and commercial projects. Recognizing the vibrant atmosphere of Traverse City as the perfect backdrop for her unique design talents, Kim decided to establish a physical presence there. Thus, HomeWorks was born and is now proudly thriving in its eighth year.
Beyond her thriving career, Kim is a dedicated mother to four active children whom she adores. She cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends, especially in outdoor activities. In her rare moments of “free time,” you’ll find Kim indulging in her love for cooking, baking, biking, skiing, and the beach. Her multifaceted life is a testament to her unwavering dedication to both her family and her passion for creating beautiful and harmonious living spaces.
