Mid-Century Modern
Grown in America, but based on earlier international styles like Bauhaus, Mid Century Modern style embraces clean lines and gentle curves. It uses traditional materials like wood with non-traditional materials such as metal, plastic, Lucite and vinyl. The décor emphasizes form following function and highlights the materials used. Playful hues like bright yellows and oranges compliment pieces with hairpin legs, low, streamlined seating and plain surfaces are the hallmarks of this design.
